Modern Slavery Statement
At Ardent, we are committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly and with respect for human rights across all areas of our work, partnerships and supply chains.
Ardent is committed to operating ethically, responsibly and with integrity across all areas of our work. We recognise our responsibility to help prevent modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and exploitation within our operations, supply chains and business relationships.
Although Ardent is a small consultancy collective and is not currently legally required to publish a statement under Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015, we believe it is important to take proactive steps to uphold human rights and responsible business practices.
This statement reflects our commitment to aligning with the principles of:
evolving EU human rights and supply chain due diligence expectations
Our Commitment
Ardent is a purpose-driven impact consultancy collective working across strategy, communications, culture, operations and sustainability. Our work is primarily service-based and delivered through a network of consultants, collaborators and specialist partners.
As a small consultancy, our supply chain is relatively low-risk and primarily includes:
independent consultants and freelancers
creative and communications partners
digital and software providers
event and operational suppliers
professional services providers
Our Business
We are committed to:
treating all people we work with fairly and respectfully
fostering transparent and ethical working relationships
avoiding partnerships or suppliers where there are concerns around exploitation or unethical labour practices
working with values-aligned organisations wherever possible
embedding human rights considerations into our decision-making and partnerships
When engaging collaborators, suppliers or partners, we aim to:
maintain fair and transparent agreements
ensure people are paid fairly and within agreed timelines
avoid exploitative working expectations or conditions
create environments where concerns can be raised safely
Our Approach
Anyone working with or alongside Ardent who has concerns relating to modern slavery, exploitation, forced labour or unethical conduct is encouraged to raise this with a member of the leadership team.
Concerns can be reported confidentially by emailing ella@bemoreardent.com.
All concerns will be taken seriously, handled sensitively and reviewed appropriately. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone raising concerns in good faith.
Reporting Concerns
As Ardent grows, we are committed to continuously reviewing and strengthening our approach to ethical business practices, supplier relationships and human rights due diligence.
This statement and our related policies are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain relevant, effective and aligned with evolving legislation, best practice and the values we stand for.
We are committed to continual learning and internal upskilling around human rights, ethical business practices and modern slavery risks, ensuring both our collective and the clients we support operate responsibly, safely and with consideration for the wider impact of their work.
We recognise that preventing exploitation requires ongoing awareness, accountability and action, and we aim to reduce the risk of modern slavery wherever we can through thoughtful partnerships, responsible decision-making and continuous reflection on our practices.
